Overview
Terminating a cable blind is where most bad patch leads come from: you push eight conductors into an opaque plug, hope the order held, crimp, and find out later. Pass-through connectors remove the guesswork — each conductor runs all the way through the front face of the plug, so the colour order is visible and checkable right up to the moment you trim and crimp.
These are plain, unbranded connectors sold in a 100-piece pack, which is the quantity that actually matches how they get used: a handful per job, a few spoiled while you learn the tool, and enough left to re-end a cable months later without ordering again.
Compatibility
- Check your cable and your tool before ordering. Pass-through plugs vary between manufacturers, and a crimping tool that trims flush with one brand's plug face will not necessarily suit another. Confirm that your crimper is intended for pass-through connectors and that these plugs seat correctly in its die.
